I would encourage any person who is sincerely seeking an effective, combat-oriented martial art to explore the martial art of Silat Kuntau Tekpi.  It has a compact, well defined syllabus.  It's developmental drills and training methodology are both interesting and effective.

As a combat and self-defense method, it is undoubtedly efficient and brutal.  This art is definitely not for sport or irresponsible  brawling......instead, this art is for those who  fear, one day, their lives may be on the line.  I have trained in many martial arts over the years and this one certainly captures my attention.  This art would be a wonderful first art for those who are seeking a martial art suited to self protection, but it  would also be a truly excellent complement to the already established repertoire of the seasoned  martial artist.

For those seeking an effective fighting art, I would  readily recommend Silat Kuntau Tekpi without reservation.

I really enjoyed the training.  As my base system is Kenpo, Silat Kuntau Tekpi compliments it very well.  Rather than clashing styles, they both work very well together.

The authentic system of Silat Kuntau Tekpi is as devastating as it is fascinating.  The system specializes in effective entries combined with brutal takedowns and finishers at the extreme close range.  There is no "dueling" for position at the longer ranges, rather immediate engagement and dispatchment is preferred as other fighters are strategically set up.

As a police, military, security, and civilian self defense instructor, I only consider the most realistic and effective areas to concentrate my training in.  In addition, I seriously consider the amount of time it takes to gain real skills in any system I plan on training in.  Without a doubt,
